Dec 1    Getting to Zero: Cincinnati World AIDS Day 2014
The UC Department of Emergency Medicine Early Intervention Program (EIP), in conjunction with Cincinnati Regional Advisory Group, IV-Charis, Caracole Inc., Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio, The Central Community Health Board of Hamilton County, Public Allies Cincinnati, and other community stakeholders, will facilitate the celebration and awareness of World AIDS Day (WAD). 
Based on the Cincinnati Regional Advisory Group’s purpose, “To evaluate the HIV prevention needs in Hamilton County and to make recommendations that affect HIV prevention efforts in the community,” EIP strives to collaborate with as many stakeholders as possible, and to use this international awareness day in a manner that is engaging and community-focused.

Dec 3    Ohio Hispanic Legislative Day

Ohio Hispanic Legislative Day - " Hispanics in Ohio: An Emerging Engine for the Future"

OCHLA and the Ohio Hispanic Chambers of Commerce are pleased to once again bring Ohio Latinos and Ohio legislators together to discuss issues most relevant to Ohio Latinos.  We hope to foster dialogue and familiarity between Ohio elected leaders and their constituents on the challenges and opportunities facing Ohio Latinos.  This full-day event is completely free to attend, and will feature interactions with legislators, workshops on civic engagement and current issues, and a keynote address.  Last year's event drew more than 250 participants.

Dec 4    Doing Business with Mexico

The International Trade Assistance Center (ITAC) hosted by Columbus State Community College is partnering with the Ohio Development Services Agency (ODSA) and the Council of Great Lakes Governors to present a seminar on December 4th on export and business opportunities in Mexico.

This seminar will be valuable for:

  • Companies who are contemplating exporting their products or services to Mexico.
  • Companies already exporting to Mexico who wish to expand their markets.
  • Companies who may be interested in or have signed up for the trade mission to Mexico. (March 1-7, 2015).

Topics for the seminar include (i) ODSA's services for Ohio companies interested in exporting their products and services to these markets  (iii) an overview of the Mexican economic, business and legal environment, and (iv) an introduction to an upcoming Council of Great Lakes Governors trade mission to Mexico.
