DESCRIPTION:The annual Distinguished Hispanic Ohioan Awards Gala secures appropriate recognition of the accomplishments of Hispanics in Ohio. The Commission and its Board work throughout the year to identify astonishing Latino and non-Latino leaders\, as well as Latinos who have served in the U.S. Military\, with the goal of awarding them for their service to the Latino Community. This event provides participants with the opportunity to not only celebrate Latino/Hispanic culture but also the breaking of barriers in regards to Latino/Hispanic involvement in business\, education\, health\, politics\, etc.In recent years\, OCHLA has collaborated with  different community partners to host this celebration.
