Create a card for the special people your life.\n\nSpoken Word Performances by KennyFresh\n\n12:00pm & 3:30pm | Harriet Tubman Theater\n\nKennyFresh is no stranger to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. In 2014\, he brought his spoken word poetry to the Center as part of his "The Invisible Tour" and the Center's Juneteenth celebration. Eight years later\, KennyFresh is elated to return with more of his signature poetry that elicits engagement from the audience. Kenny's work seeks to impact\, encourage and to leave the listener feeling better than when they came in. Owens is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice focuses on bringing awareness to the plight of nearly 2.5 million people enmeshed in the American carceral state. He is self-taught during more than 18 years of incarceration\, working in painting\, sculpture and installation\, using materials and references culled from penal matter. Learn more
