DESCRIPTION:WHAT: The National Underground Railroad freedom enter is hosting a free screening of the film Why We Walk Sunday\, July 17. Following the screening\, the film's stars will be available for a Q&A. Admission and the film screening are free that day as part of the Freedom Center's Fifth Third Community Days.\n\n\n\nWhy We Walk follows the journey of three Black men from across the globe\, united in Cincinnati and dedicated to encouraging communities of color and their participation in the great outdoors. The film follows The Urban Hikers who\, after years of city exploration\, seek to introduce the power of walking to a community that has been historically underrepresented in the enjoyment of the great outdoors. Inspired by the story of revolutionary abolitionist John Brown\, The Urban Hikers embark on a life-changing pilgrimage\, backpacking from Harpers Ferry\, West Virginia   the site of Brown's attempted revolt   to the nation's capital in Washington\, DC. The Appalachian wilderness serves as a stage to address underlying racial identities and cultural differences within the group. As tensions rise and provisions dwindle\, the team must learn to work as one in order to reach their destination.\n\n \n\nFollowing the film screening\, the Freedom Center will host a moderated Q&A with The Urban Hikers   Abdi Cheik\, Toure Marshall and Vanny Mwamba.\n\n \n\nThe film screening and admission to the Freedom Center is free on Sunday\, July 17 as part of their Fifth Third Community Days\, which offers free admission on the fifth and third Sunday each month through the support of the Fifth Third Foundation.\n\n \n\nWHEN: 2 p.m.\, Sunday\, July 17\n\n \n\nWHERE: National Underground Railroad Freedom Center's Harriet Tubman Theater
