\n Our theme this month is Public Benefits and Immigrants. Our \;guest speakers \;will be Sergio Mata and Mayra Casas.
\n
\n Sergio Mata has been involved with the non-profit networks in the US since he came to this country in 2010. In Austin\, TX\, he&rsquo\;s worked with AmeriCorps\, the Workers Defense Project\, and the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement of the University of Texas. In Cincinnati\, OH\, he&rsquo\;s served in different roles within the Freestore Foodbank&mdash\;as an Affordable Care Act Navigator\, a benefits enrollment specialist\, and currently as an Agency Relations Coordinator. Currently\, he also serves in the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood South West Ohio.

\n Mayra Casas Jackson \;is a Paralegal Advocate and a DOJ Accredited Representative at the Legal Aid Society of Southwest Ohio. Originally from Peru\, she has been living in the United States for the past fifteen years. Ms. Casas Jackson has a bachelor&rsquo\;s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management\, and she went to law school in Peru for two years before moving to the United States. For the last eight years\, she has worked as a paralegal advocate in the areas of public benefits\, focusing mostly on the immigrant community\, and immigration law. She \;is fluent in Spanish and English.

\n As always\, we will provide time to share information about future events or programs. Feel free to invite anyone who could benefit from our meetings\, which take place on the fourth Tuesday of every month with the exception of July and December.
