This webinar will include information about:\n\n\n	Harm reduction program development and best practices.\n	The stigma of drug use and addiction.\n	The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on harm reduction.\n	Resources available from the National Harm Reduction Coalition.\n\n\nTuesday\, Dec. 8\, 2020 \n\n1-2 p.m.   \n\nVirtual event\n\nThe 45-minute presentation will be followed by a 15-minute Q&A session. After that the presenter and Interact for Health staff will stay online for additional questions and casual conversations with community partners.\n\nThis event is intended for all people working or interested in the field of harm reduction in Interact for Health's 20-county service area and beyond.\n\nPresenter:\n\nEmma Roberts is Senior Director of Capacity Building at the National Harm Reduction Coalition. She has worked in various aspects of community development for 30 years. Emma started in harm reduction in England the mid-'90s when the community center she worked at started a syringe exchange program. She moved to New York City in 2008 and ran a mobile syringe service program across the city. She now works with people all over the U.S .and beyond who are committed to expanding harm reduction philosophy and services\, including dismantling the racist war on drugs and treating people who use drugs with the dignity and respect they deserve.\n\nRegistration closes 5 p.m. Monday\, Dec. 7\, 2020.\n\n\n\nAbout Interact for Health\n\nInteract for Health is improving the health of all people in our region. We serve as a catalyst by promoting health equity through grants\, education\, research\, policy and engagement. To amplify the impact of our work\, Interact for Health focuses on three strategic priorities: reducing tobacco use\, addressing the opioid epidemic and ensuring that children have access to health care through school-based health centers.
