DESCRIPTION:Ages 13- Adult. Instructor: Carole Gary Staples\n\nLearn the quilting process and complete your own small quilt project! In this class\, you'll learn how to choose fabrics\, follow a quilting pattern\, cut fabric\, piece a top\, make a quilt sandwich\, quilt your sandwich on a traditional sewing machine (or by hand)\, and bind! Designed for someone who has used their sewing machine (or has basic hand sewing experience)\, but has never made a quilted project. Students supply their own materials. Supplies will need to be purchased after first class. This class will meet remotely via Zoom.\n\nStudents supply the following materials:\n\n\n sewing machine (recommended\, but optional)\n bobbins\n fabric marking pencil \n rotary cutter\n 18 acrylic quilter's ruler\n sharp sewing scissors\n straight pins\n cutting mat\n 100% cotton fabric (quilters' cotton)\n batting\n quilting thread\n\n\nMeets remotely via Zoom:\n\nMondays\, 6:00-7:30pm\n\nDates: January 25 // February 1\, 8\, 15\, 22 // March 1\, 8\, 15\n\nTuition: $120\n\n \n\nRegister by January 10 to receive our Early-Bird Discount of 10% off tuition.
