We will work together to develop basic skills in black-and-white mediums (primarily graphite pencil and charcoal) toward the goal of drawing human portraits. We?ll focus on facial anatomy\, measuring techniques within drawing\, and shading to reveal dramatic darks and lights. The framework of the class will rely heavily on instructor demonstrations\, supported by sharing and feedback among students and the instructor. This class will meet remotely via Zoom.\n\n \n\nStudents supply their own materials:\n\n\n Smooth white drawing paper pad: 9?x12? ?16?x20?
