Since their discovery in 2009 by American Dance Festival Director Charles Reinhart\, Rosie Herrera Dance Theatre has quickly become a captivating fixture in the contemporary arts scene in Miami. With whirlwind success including sold-out performances\, the visually thrilling company is becoming a force to be reckoned with in the national dance scene.
\nKnown for its diverse ensemble that consists of some of Miami&rsquo\;s most brilliant performers and creators ranging in genres from theater\, performance art\, opera\, drag\, and contemporary ballet\, RHDT has enjoyed unprecedented success in Miami. In addition\, performances in New York City were said to be &ldquo\;so innovative\, searing and disturbing&hellip\;&rdquo\; that it warranted &ldquo\;repeat viewings&rdquo\; (Kayt MacMaster\, BroadwayWorld.com) and Deborah Jowitt (New York Times) described them as &ldquo\;earthy\, poetic and beyond dada imaginative.&rdquo\;
\n\nDevotion \;is the third and final work in a trilogy of dances that use religious iconography as a way to explore themes of love. It is specifically interested in our now-intimate relationship to technology.
