DESCRIPTION:One of America's leading chamber music ensembles\, The D az Trio\, is coming to Cincinnati!  The Trio is comprised of three dynamic artists\, each a star in his own right.  \n\n \n\nCuban-born violinist Andr s C rdenes served for over 20 years as Concertmaster of the Pittsburgh Symphony and currently is the Music Director of Orchestral Studies at Carnegie Mellon University.  Roberto D az\, born in Chile\, was the principal violist of the Philadelphia Orchestra from 1996 to 2006\, and now is president and CEO of the Curtis Institute of Music.  His brother\, Andr s D az\, won First Prize in the 1986 Naumburg International Cello Competition.  He is a Latin-Grammy-nominated cellist\, currently serving as Professor of Cello and Head of the Strings Department at Southern Methodist University in Dallas\, and Koerner Chair in Cello at The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.\n\n \n\nMusic lovers will have the opportunity to hear The D az Trio perform in Cincinnati\, and to meet the musicians!  The Trio will perform two concerts:\n\n \n\nSunday\, March 27\, 2022\n\nNew Jerusalem Baptist Church\, 26 West North Bend Road\, Cincinnati\, Ohio 45216\n\n4:00 p.m.\n\n \n\nTuesday\, March 29\, 2022\n\nMemorial Hall\, 1225 Elm Street\, Cincinnati\, Ohio 45202\n\n7:30 p.m.\n\n \n\nSingle tickets are $40.  Until January 17\, 2022\, you can purchase tickets to The D az Trio concert\, along with three additional concerts coming up in 2022\, for only $100.\n\n \n\nFor more information about The D az Trio and its program\, and other upcoming concerts presented by Chamber Music Cincinnati\, please go to www.cincychamber.org.\n\n\n\nChamber Music Cincinnati has started a Young People's Music Education Fund\, to provide music lessons and instrument rental to underserved\, but deserving\, young musicians.
