DESCRIPTION:Members of the media and museum partners can enjoy early access to Cincinnati Art Museum's most anticipated exhibition of the year!\n\n \n\nCentered on the Cincinnati Art Museum's Undergrowth with Two Figures\, this groundbreaking exhibition explores the significance of the forest interior to the art of Vincent van Gogh.\n\n \n\nThe exhibition allows visitors to compare Van Gogh's treatment of this theme with examples from his contemporaries including Th odore Rousseau\, Paul C zanne\, Claude Monet and Paul Gauguin.\n\n \n\nMore than 20 works on loan from American\, Asian and European collections\, will be shown together for the first time only at the Cincinnati Art Museum.\n\n \n\nVisit the exhibition and meet: \n\n       Cornelia Homburg\, one of the world's foremost Van Gogh experts and an author of the catalogue Van Gogh: Into the Undergrowth\n\n       Julie Aronson\, Cincinnati Art Museum Curator of American Paintings\, Sculpture and Drawings\, and on-site curator of the exhibition Van Gogh: Into the Undergrowth\n\n \n\nThe media preview also includes a look at the new interactive and immersive installation in the museum's Rosenthal Education Center (REC). Step into a larger than life Van Gogh painting\, create leaf rubbings and mixed media landscape artwork\, personalize a nature journal\, go on a nature-themed gallery hunt and more!\n\n \n\nVisitors may also enjoy Kentucky Renaissance: The Lexington Camera Club and Its Community\, 1954 1974\, on view in the gallery adjacent to Van Gogh exhibition\, October 8 January 1\, 2017.\n\n \n\nRSVP for this free sneak peek\, any time during the 1 4 p.m. window on Oct. 14!\n\nPlease email: media@cincyart.org before Oct. 12.\n\nThose who RSVP will be able to pick up their free exhibition ticket at the Visitor Services Desk in the museum's lobby.\n\nParking will be limited due to demand and gala preparations.  \n\n \n\nVan Gogh Exhibition Details: \n\n         October 15\, 2016 January 8\, 2017\n\n         Tickets are available online and at the museum's Visitor Services Desk. \n\n         $10 general admission. $5 for college students (with valid ID). $5 for children ages 6   17. Free for children ages 5 and under.
