A Tale of Two Futures

Ancelma Ortiz overcame the circumstances of her birth as an indigenous girl from rural Guatemala by recognizing that education would be the key to breaking the cycle of poverty for her family. Ancelma has traveled from Guatemala to share her story with you. Join us for this special event, followed by a lively panel discussion regarding the benefits of using empowering people in the developing world to help families overcome the obstacles associated with poverty. The discussion will be led by the nonprofits Cooperative for Education, Mayan Families, and Mission Partners Guatemala.
