Alpaugh Scholars Summer Economic Institute is an academic program for teachers to take advantage of, either to fulfill their ongoing education requirements or simply for having a fun and enriching experience during the summer break.
Join us for five engaging days, learning the concepts of macroeconomics (economic systems, employment, prices, real GDP growth, Federal Reserve, etc.) and engage in activities that make cross-curricular lessons come to life.
Presentations, simulation activities, and discussion will build understanding of the basic macroeconomics concepts while introducing current business and economic issues. One primary activity for the week is "The President's Dilemma," an engaging macroeconomics simulation.
No economics teaching experience is necessary - a good start for those new to teaching a high school economics course.
