Cincinnati, OH—The Cincy Emerging Arts Leaders is hosting an Americans for the Arts’ Creative Conversation on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, 5:30-7:30 PM, on the topic of Creative Industries. Creative Conversations are local gatherings of engaged citizens in communities across the country and are part of a grassroots movement to elevate the profile of arts in America during National Arts & Humanities Month every October.

Creative Industries contribute more than $25 billion to Ohio’s economy annually. The 2011 Creative Conversation will discuss: What are the Creative Industries? What role do the arts play in Creative Industries? Why are Creative Industries important to the Greater Cincinnati region?

Cincy Emerging Arts Leadersis an extension of the Emerging Leaders Network of the Americans for the Arts and affiliated with the Greater Cincinnati Alliance for Arts Education. It supports the professional development needs of arts administrators in the Greater Cincinnati area. The group first met in October 2006 as part of the Creative Conversations series that Americans for the Arts sponsors annually.

National Arts and Humanities Monthis coordinated by Americans for the Arts. Americans for the Arts is dedicated to representing and serving local communities and creating opportunities for every American to participate in and appreciate all forms of the arts. The month-long celebration has become the largest annual celebration of the arts and humanities in the nation. CincinnatiArts Association (CAA)
Founded in 1992, the Cincinnati Arts Association (CAA) is a not-for-profit organization that oversees the programming and management of two of the Tri-state’s finest performing arts venues – the Aronoff Center for the Arts and Music Hall – and is dedicated to supporting performing and visual arts.
