Build in 1863, at the end of the Civil War, the building was one of the first schools in the Midwest with a secondary story. The place still boasts a home-spun appeal, from the goats and geese roaming around out back to the family-style dining: the menu, like the rest of the place, relies heavily on simple, all-American charms. Come take a trip back in time, listen to the stories associated with the schoolhouse. You can bring your bike and take a ride on the bike trail afterward.
Discover the Treasures is a series of academic courses for teachers that help them integrate economics and finance with the Ohio Common Core while allowing them to earn credit hours to fulfill their ongoing education requirements.
This year's lessons will link history and economics - with literature and local history resources.
