Downtown restaurants join in culinary celebration, offering affordable prices and unique menu options

CINCINNATI, OH, August 2, 2013 — Many of downtown Cincinnati’s renowned restaurants will be offering local dining for less during the city’s fifth annual Downtown Restaurant Week, running August 5-11. Hosted by the Do Downtown Restaurant Group and sponsored by the Convention & Visitors Bureau, more than 25 restaurants will provide either three-course meals or dinner for two for the fixed price of $35.
In a region most often known for its unique take on chili and Oprah’s favorite ice cream, this year’s Restaurant Week will feature the diversity of dining options in the downtown area, from international flavors to classic Cincinnati establishments. Participating eateries hail from throughout the downtown neighborhoods, including The Banks, Over-the-Rhine, Fountain Square, and the Central Business District.
“This year’s Downtown Restaurant Week is a great chance for Cincinnati residents and visitors to take advantage of our incredible downtown dining offerings,” said Dan Lincoln, President and CEO of the Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau. “From our microbreweries and farmer’s markets to the new Over-the-Rhine dining scene, Cincinnati is a rising star in the culinary world. Our award-winning restaurants are a true reflection of the city’s world-class culture, and I’m looking forward to seeing how this year’s Restaurant Week continues to build on our destination’s positive momentum.”
Participating restaurants include Boi Na Braza, Washington Platform, CRAVE, Metropole, McCormick & Schmick’s, Jack Binion’s Steak House, Jimmy G’s, Ruth’s Chris, Zula Restaurant & Wine Bar, Via Vite, Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse, Morton’s the Steakhouse, Palomino, Local 127, Moerlein Lager House, Orchid’s, The Palace, Lavomatic, WG Kitchen & Bar, Nicholson’s Tavern & Bar, Trattoria Roma, El Coyote, Istanbul Café, Taste of Belgium, Arnold’s, Blue Wisp, Campanello’s, and Nicola’s.
