Fifth Third Community Day: Freedom to Be
Join us for our next Fifth Third Community Day! Guests will receive free admission and experience special activities in connection with celebrating Freedom Summer and the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Activity Schedule
Storytime
12 p.m. & 2 p.m. | 3rd floor
Grab a seat on the carpet for storytime with a staff member. In the spirit of National Ice Cream Month, enjoy a reading of Ice Cream Man: How Augustus Jackson Made a Sweet Treat Better. Copies of the book are available in the Freedom Store.
Your Voice, Your Power Activity
3–5 p.m. | 2nd floor, Grand hall
Join us for a family friendly crafting activity. Reflecting on past civil rights activists and how we utilize different forms of media to express ourselves and fight for our rights, participants will share their message on their very own picket sign.
