Free admission and film screening at the Freedom Center
WHAT: Museums have the power to shape and reflect their communities, becoming community anchors that protect and perpetuate our collective heritage. That’s why the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, in partnership with the Fifth Third Foundation, is offering free admission on Sunday, July 17 as part of their Fifth Third Community Days. Admission includes all Freedom Center experiences, including the exhibition Marking Time: Art in the Age of Mass Incarceration, plus a screening of the film Why We Walk at 2 p.m. Following the film screening, the film’s stars will be available for a Q&A discussion.
People are encouraged to reserve their free tickets in advance and can do so at freedomcenter.org.
Fifth Third Community Days provide free admission on the fifth and third Sunday each month, plus MLK Day and Juneteenth. Upcoming dates include July 31, August 21 and September 18.
