HCDC's Business Center hosts 2016 Encore Entrepreneurship Event
HCDC's Business Center hosts 2016 Encore Entrepreneurship Event
Are you tired of punching the clock for someone else, but think you can't find another job at your age? Are the kids out of the house, freeing you to re-enter the job market? Are you nearing retirement, but don't know what you will do with all that free time - or wonder how you will manage once you retire?
For many 50+ individuals, entrepreneurship training is the toolkit that empowers them to use their experience, knowledge, and skills to become business owners and job creators. The SBA and AARP are committed to providing Americans over the age of 50 with the real-world, actionable information they need to start and grow small businesses. In 2016, the SBA and AARP have renewed the strategic partnership to jointly counsel, train and mentor encore entrepreneurs on small business creation. An important part of this on-going partnership is the 2016 Summer of Encore Mentoring.
HCDC will host the 2016 Summer Encore Entrepreneurship program you will learn about who is an "Encore Entrepreneur," why you are important, keys to running your business, what resources are available to assist them in their endeavors and more.
