People think that you have to be in Human Resources to practice HR. The fact is that if you work with people, then you are in HR! There are many components that are true regardless of industry, or company size, when it comes to Human Resources.
At this workshop you’ll learn five key tactics that will allow you to be more consistent and effective with your employees.
- Define your culture – No culture is the “best.” But, every company has a culture and you should be clear as to what it is so people can perform for you.
- Approach is Key – Too often we think policies and procedures are what we should lead with when interacting with our staff. This isn’t the case. Learn how to use these items as parameters and not rules.
- Move the Boulders – Too often, leadership and management create roadblocks for people when it comes to work. Learn how to remove the “boulders” that get in the way of being effective in both communications and employee relations.
- Integrate HR – Don’t keep HR off to the side and have it be something that people go to when the world is on fire. Learn how you can integrate HR through every department and have them be the bridge to bringing your employees together.
- Enjoy your work – This may sound frivolous, but if your people don’t enjoy what they do and where they work, then you will have countless HR issues. Learn how to make your environment engaging and fun.
