Oscar (guitar) & Tino (voice) brings to Che! “La Nueva Trova” & “La Nueva Canción Latinoamericana”, styles that have touched the souls of a whole generation in different Latin-American countries. The lyrics talk about peace, revolution, politics, and especially about LOVE.
The duo will be playing songs by authors like Victor Jara, Violeta Parra, Silvio Rodriguez, Pablo Milanés, Mercedes Sosa, among others.
About the Artists:
Tino Barbosa (Mexican) has been representing the Latin-American culture in Cincinnati for more than 20 years, playing different music styles.
Óscar Salamanca (Colombian) is a professional musician who has been known in the Cincinnati area for playing bass in different salsa scenarios, but he plays many other instruments as well.
