Ohio Latino Student Summit
The University of Cincinnati and the Ohio Latino Commission of Hispanic/Latino Affairs (OCHLA) host the 2018 Ohio Latino Student Summit: “Rise Up”, a one day student conference to connect, empower, and build community while enhancing the Latino student leadership experience in Ohio.
The purpose of this summit is to connect, empower, enhance, and build community among student leaders in Ohio, through workshops, motivational speakers, and resources to enhance Latino Student Success on their respective campuses. The Ohio Latino Student Summit will foster the development of civic responsibility by empowering students' identity, leadership, and community building skills. This high-energy, inspiring conference promotes Latino Student Success through best practices, encouragement and support, while showcasing successful Latinos to help inspire and motivate students to achieve their goals. It will provide a platform to discuss concerns, topics and issues while creating a visible representation of Latino Student Success.
Through engaging workshops, powerful motivational speakers and strategic networking, students will leave the summit with tools for success in school and beyond.
