Passport to Success: Belonging

Passport to Success: Belonging is Santa Maria Community Services’ annual fundraiser and a celebration of the people, relationships, and shared humanity that connect us all.

This year’s theme centers on a simple but powerful truth: every person deserves to feel seen, valued, connected, and accepted without judgment. Belonging goes beyond inclusion. It’s about knowing your voice matters, feeling supported for who you are, and having people beside you during life’s challenges and successes alike.

For many of the families we serve, belonging can mean finding encouragement during difficult moments, building trusted relationships, gaining confidence, discovering new opportunities, or simply knowing they do not have to navigate hardship alone. Through Santa Maria’s programs, families find support, connection, and a community that believes in their potential.

Passport to Success: Belonging also celebrates the belonging we create together as a wider community. Program participants, donors, volunteers, staff, partners, and supporters all come together around a shared belief that families working hard to overcome poverty deserve compassion, opportunity, and people willing to walk beside them.
