One of the most pressing national issues is immigration and the 12 million undocumented workers living in the United States. The June 25, 2012 TIME magazine cover story, “We Are Americans,” was written by Jose Antonio Vargas, himself an undocumented journalist.
Mr. Vargas will deliver The Harriet Beecher Stowe Lecture (“Writing to Change the World”) at the Cincinnati Mercantile Library. In 2011, Vargas publically revealed his undocumented status and in this lecture will share his story and how others ‘coming out’ can change the debate.
