Uncommon Journeys, photographic exhibit
INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK
?Uncommon Journeys,? Photographic exhibit
by photographer, Julia Cumes
From Burma to the Sahara Desert, Kenya, India and beyond, Julia Cumes' photography show is a collection of extraordinary moments captured in far-flung places around the world. With an emphasis on light and the "decisive moment", the photographs illuminate the quiet moments of beauty in places most us won't get to see for ourselves. Cumes has noted, "with this collection of images, I hope to present viewers with a version of the world they may not otherwise see and engage them in dialog about this extraordinary and vulnerable planet we live on and how important its preservation is. I strive to create photograph...s one can't turn away from--photos that are powerful and capture in a unique way this extraordinary world.?
Free and open to the public
