Xavier University, a member of the BIG EAST Conference, seeks qualified candidates for the position of Athletics Marketing Coordinator, which will serve an integral role in the operations of the marketing department reporting directly to the Assistant Director for Marketing & Fan Engagement.

This is an hourly position and will focus on developing and executing marketing plans for assigned sports for the purpose of maximizing the fan experience. Other duties will include assisting the department with promotional efforts and gameday presentation for men’s and women’s basketball, digital and e-mail marketing, fulfillment of the Junior Musketeers Kids Club, processing donation requests, establishing effective on-campus grassroots marketing efforts aimed at increasing student attendance and supporting other department initiatives and special projects. The position will be required to work in the office as well as at numerous athletic and promotional events.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sports management or a related field
  • 1+ year of experience in a collegiate marketing department
  • Professional, results-oriented self-starter who takes initiative to solve problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Working knowledge of graphic design programs, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

Position Details: 

  • Employment Term Start Date: Beginning no earlier than August 1, 2024.
  • This is a 10-month position for 1 year with the mutual option for a possible 2nd year. Evening, weekend and holiday hours will be required and schedule may vary. There are no benefits attached to this position. This position will work no more than 25 hours per week from August through May. 
  • Hourly rate of $15/hour
