Identifying Information:

- Reports To: Joe Ventre, Vice President & Director of Mortgage Sales
- Location: Hotel office in LCNB Retail Banking Center or remotely on occasion
- Status: Full-Time Salaried Non-Exempt
- Hours: Determined by LOM and production target; 40 Hour Work Week
Position Purpose: Responsible for originating real estate mortgage loans in accordance with LCNB National Bank product guidelines, and processing loans in accordance with LCNB National Bank processes up to delivery to an inside processor. The incumbent’s primary responsibility is to grow mortgage production by sourcing leads from external professional and personal relationships and as appropriate maintained and cultivated relationships with LCNB personnel. The LOM is expected to collect and review all needed supporting loan documentation and maintain a minimum standard of production and quality. The LOM is expected to comply with all consumer and real estate lending laws and requirements. There is no defined territory, save the Bank’s policy guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mortgage Originations & Business Development
- Source leads for mortgage loan originations, primarily away from the an LCNB location or home office
- Develop and build relationships with realtors and other business professionals
- Understand and market LCNB National Bank mortgage loan products
- Meet with applicants to answer questions and obtain information for mortgage loan applications
- Collect and upload loan documentation and financial information into the loan operating system
- Effectively learn and operate LCNB’s point of sale and loan operating system
- Effectively communicate with processing and underwriting support staff
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and effectively resolve customer complaints
- Maintain open & effective communication channels with customers, realtors and other referral sources
- Attend loan closings, sales and officer meetings
- Collect past due accounts originated by LOM or as assigned
Qualifications:
- NMLS (Obtained or transferred within 45 days of hire)
- Strong PC skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of retail lending concepts and principles
- Thorough understanding and strong working knowledge of credit, underwriting, credit policy and financial statement analysis
- Knowledge of DU and LP

Education/Experience:
- +5 years of mortgage sales/origination experience
- +5 years of FHA, VA, and Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae underwriting guidelines
- Proficient in federal and state mortgage lending statutes, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of mortgage underwriting criteria and retail lending concepts and principles (required)
- Formal training in personal financial analysis and tax return analysis (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Prior consumer lending experience (preferred)
Working Conditions
- Expected to work outside of the office 50%+ of the time
- Travel to and from bank offices and third-party locations
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 30% of the time
- Occasionally move/traverse to access files and equipment
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a phone, calculator, copy machine, scanner and computer printer
- Ability to think, reason and communicate clearly
- The ability to observe and identify details at close range
