Job Title: Visiting Faculty 
 

Job Summary:
Entrepreneurship: Instructor to teach four courses during the 2022 fall semester. This Instructor in Entrepreneurship is responsible for combining a practitioner’s perspective with solid academic foundations to courses in the Entrepreneurship core. Position start date is August 15, 2022.

The Department of Entrepreneurship combines strong academic scholarship and rigorous theoretical and empirical research with immersive, practice-based learning opportunities for students in startup and venture capital, social entrepreneurship and impact investing, corporate innovation and technology commercialization, and creativity and entrepreneurial thinking. Distinguishing features include small class sizes and teacher-scholars with founder experience that deliver personalized learning, an interdisciplinary focus that engages students from every undergraduate major across campus, immersive, practice-based experiential learning opportunities in every class and in every co-curricular program, and integration with entrepreneurial ecosystem builders across the U.S. For more information about the Department of Entrepreneurship, please visit: https://miamioh.edu/fsb/academics/entrepreneurship/.
 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Required: Master’s degree in entrepreneurship, management, business, or a closely related discipline and five years of professional experience by date of appointment.
  • Position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
     

Desired Qualifications:

  • Consideration may be given to candidates with ten years of teaching experience and / or entrepreneurial experience in areas related to startup, angel or venture capital investing, business model development or the lean startup methodology, and / or social ventures and impact investing; and a combination of consulting and / or professional experiences engaging with clients in innovation, organizational change, problem solving, design, or idea generation projects from a variety of industries, organizations, and / or disciplines; excellent written and oral presentation skills; ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends; and ability to adapt within corporate innovation and entrepreneurial start-up environments.
