Job Summary:
The Richard A. Forsythe Chair of Entrepreneurship will have a range of teaching, service, and advising responsibilities in the Department of Entrepreneurship. Successful candidates will possess demonstrated skills in engaging with the business community to promote innovation and entrepreneurship practice, excellent leadership ability demonstrated through a distinguished career of progressively increasing responsibilities and experiences, and a strong commitment to teaching excellence. Assistant/Associate/Full Teaching Professor or Assistant/Associate/Full Lecturer will have primary teaching responsibilities in the areas of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation. The primary responsibility is to teach undergraduates in areas including corporate innovation and strategy, entrepreneurial leadership and developing high performing innovation teams, entrepreneurial finance, and enterprise consulting. Position is required to recruit and select clients for the Entrepreneurship program’s Corporate Innovation (ESP 341) and Enterprise Consulting (ESP 461) courses and to oversee and support student teams on engagements with each company. Position is also expected to provide support for co-curricular events sponsored by the Department of Entrepreneurship, advise and mentor students and student teams, and assist with student recruiting/retention. Appointment begins Fall 2023.

Requirements:
- For appointment as an Assistant Teaching Professor, applicants must have a doctorate in entrepreneurship, business, or closely related field by date of appointment.
- For appointment as an Associate Teaching Professor, applicants must have a doctorate in entrepreneurship, business, or closely related field by date of appointment and have a minimum of 5 years of related experience (teaching and/or professional) with at least two years of teaching experience.
- For appointment as a Teaching Professor, applicants must have a doctorate in entrepreneurship, business, or closely related field by date of appointment and have a minimum of 10 years of related experience (teaching and/or professional) with at least five years of teaching experience.
- For appointment as an Assistant Lecturer, applicants must have a master’s degree in entrepreneurship, business, or closely related field by date of appointment.
- For appointment as an Associate Lecturer, applicants must have a master’s degree in entrepreneurship, business, or closely related field by date of appointment and have a minimum of 5 years of related experience (teaching and/or professional) with at least two years of teaching experience.
- For appointment as a Senior Lecturer, applicants must have a master’s degree in entrepreneurship, business, or closely related field by date of appointment and have a minimum of 10 years of related experience (teaching and/or professional) with at least five years of teaching experience.
Desired Qualifications:
- Consideration may be given to candidates with experience engaging with clients from a variety of industries, organizations, and/or disciplines; entrepreneurial experience in startup, venture capital or impact investing, corporate innovation, social entrepreneurship or creativity; demonstrated evidence of experience teaching professional skills (e.g., teamwork, project management, agile or scrum) to students and/or colleagues; and/or a combination of education and professional experiences around innovation, organizational change, problem solving, design, or idea generation, shares the values of collaboration, entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in undergraduate teaching.
