Job Title: Temporary Armstrong Student Center Operations Manager

Salary/Grade: Salaried

Job Summary:

The Armstrong Student Center is a 250,000 square foot building and the site for approximately 3,000 meetings and events per year. The center manages event production, building operations, student organization office space, recreation amenities to create the "living room of campus." Student staff are the core of the operation. This position is designed to support student and professional staff in ensuring continuity of services, maintaining a student-centered approach to our work and adhering to our core values of collaboration, stewardship, inclusion, learning and caring.

Duties/Physical Demands:

  • Manage aspects of the daily operations of Armstrong Student Center
  • Supervise and support a diverse group of student staff who provide leadership in daily operation of the facility and event production
  • Create student staff schedules to match building and event operational needs
  • Submit work orders and help manage repairs and maintenance of facility
  • Provide additional support to high profile events
  • Serve in an on call/duty rotation on evenings and weekends
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and experience working in an educational setting
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed to support events and activities
  • Must be willing to participate in an on-call professional staff member rotation
