GENERAL FUNCTION:
A Product Manager is responsible for the design, development, and marketing of new products for one or more Divisions. Reviews and modifies existing products. Seeks new sales channels to maximize profitability and meet customer needs.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Banks risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create, enhance, and manage products and/or programs to meet goals and increase profitability.
  • Review new developments in customer segments, evaluate potential products, and recommend the development of new products or the modification of existing products.
  • Coordinate & direct the design and development of new products and the modification of existing products, in conjunction with Legal, Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, Information Technology, Credit Risk, Operations, Delivery and Marketing.
  • Works with Delivery channel and Marketing to develop effective sales programs.
  • Provide analysis and product pricing of select products and services.
  • Evaluate the success of new products and recommend changes in the product or marketing strategy as appropriate.
  • Utilizes new trends and developments in the Bank' s strategic plan to shape product and service offerings.
  • Ensure that regulatory compliance is maintained on all existing products.
  • Facilitate new product training via written training materials, marketing materials and/or oral presentations.
  • Interprets and enforces product policies and guidelines across affiliates, departments and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor' s degree in marketing or related business field.
  • Minimum of four (4) years product management and development experience, preferably within the financial industry.
  • Strong PC skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills required.
  • Strong analytical skills and project management experience

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Extended viewing of CRT screen.
