Job Summary:
The Assistant/Senior Assistant Director of Admission will assist with the development and implementation of graduate enrollment and yield processes that are consistent with Miami University's mission and goals. Additionally, travel to regional and national recruitment events to ensure a highly qualified and diverse applicant pool.

In addition, all positions are responsible for the understanding and upholding of Miami University’s and Enrollment Management and Student Success’ Diversity, Equity and Inclusion statements, values and goals. This position may have duties associated with admission and selection, primarily focused on new graduate student programs and initiatives.

 

Duties/Physical Demands:
? Serve as the primary contact for accepted graduate applicants from confirmation through enrollment. Create and implement an outreach strategy for admitted students to ensure a smooth transition from applicant to enrolled student, 30%
? Schedule, coordinate and implement a travel schedule to recruit prospective graduate students for targeted and general recruitment efforts. Maintain relationships with program directors and participate in regional events specific to their programs. Leverage data to monitor and respond to enrollment trends. 20%
? Correspond with graduate applicants through prospect management including the use of email, phone calls, and social media. Track and respond to accepted applicant questions and inquiries. 20%
? Develop working knowledge of Miami University programs, opportunities, and policies; communicate information about the Miami brand, experience, and outcomes, escalating questions and issues as needed. (15%)
? Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of assigned projects. Work collaboratively with University constituents to streamline and improve processes. 10%
? Coordinate and participate in on-campus student recruitment and yield events and campaigns. 5%

 

Minimum Qualifications:
Assistant Director: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of two years of experience in a progressively responsible position or Master’s Degree with no experience required.

Senior Assistant Director: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of three years of experience in progressively responsible positions or a Master’s Degree and a minimum of one year of experience.

Ability to lift 30-40 lbs of recruiting materials; valid driver's license; ability to perform overnight travel

This position is available to persons who are currently located and authorized to work in the United States on a full-time and indefinite basis. (Persons authorized to work on such a basis include US citizens, lawful permanent residents (“green card” holders), asylees, refugees, and temporary residents under IRCA
This position is not eligible for H1-B Visa or OPT support. It is not eligible for PERM sponsorship.

 

Desired Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of the admission and/or graduate enrollment management.

Master's degree
Experience in recruitment and enrollment, or similar experience in counseling, sales, marketing, or related field; demonstrated commitment to recruiting individuals from diverse backgrounds;

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills, including public speaking and writing ability; high level of organizational and self-starting skills; ability to work with minimal supervision; knowledge of and experience with computer systems and various software applications, especially Microsoft Office and Google suite.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with computer systems and various software applications; proven ability to work with diverse constituencies; exceptional written and oral communication skills.
