Job Title: Associate Director of Online Learning
Salary/Grade: $70,000 - $80,000
Hours Per Week: 40
Associate Director of Online Learning to help foster high-quality online and innovative learning at Miami University. This position facilitates online program design, leads Learning Designers in the effective implementation of course design processes, and collaborates with key partners across campus.
- The Associate Director will foster collaborative leadership to develop online and innovative learning; lead effective, high-quality learning design; promote learning strategy and innovation; execute daily application of program development and processes; support the strategy, mission and vision of Miami Online.
- Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience within an online learning unit or similar area, including 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
This position is not eligible for H1B sponsorship.
- Consideration may be given to candidates with a Master’s degree (or higher) in instructional design, educational technology, higher education, or other education-related fields; experience in working collaboratively and proactively in a large decentralized institution and familiarity with change management methods and tools; experience collaborating with faculty to create, adopt and adapt innovative and high impact teaching practices; knowledge of online program development phases, instructional design models, and quality standards; ability to work with multiple partners and relationships while managing the prioritization of competing requests in a deadline-driven environment; ability to effectively communicate and interact with others to accomplish goals; demonstrated staff, organization, and project management skills and ability to pay attention to detail; prior experience with operating within department budget.
