Job Title: Deloitte Introductory Accounting Course Coordinator

Job Summary: 
The Deloitte Introductory Accounting Course Coordinator will assist the ACC 221 and ACC 222 lead instructors complete administrative tasks, which will allow those instructors to focus more on improving learning outcomes and students’ educational experiences in those classes. Remote work is a working arrangement that can be modified or revoked by Miami University at any time for any reason. 

The Department of Accountancy prioritizes the educational experience we provide to our students and is consistently ranked among the top 25 programs nationally. ACC 221 (Introduction to Financial Accounting) and ACC 222 (Introduction to Managerial Accounting) are both FSB core courses taken by all FSB students (excluding those with transfer credit) and help form the foundation of Accountancy students’ subsequent course work. As the Department of Accountancy at Miami University actively works to increase the number of students who pursue Accountancy as a major, second major or minor, ensuring that students have an outstanding educational experience in our introductory Accountancy courses is critically important.

Duties:

  • The Introductory Accountancy Course Coordinator will assist in the administration of both ACC 221 and ACC 222, and will be expected to train and manage MAcc Graduate assistants; coordinate with the Rinella Learning Center to ensure that students with accommodations receive the appropriate consideration; when appropriate, respond to student emails; help maintain each course’s Canvas site; help with attendance reporting; and hold up to five hours of in-person and virtual office hours as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business.
  • Position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Consideration may be given to candidates with a degree in accountancy, professional accounting experience, and / or relevant teaching experience.
