Job Title: Interim Regional Associate Dean

Job Summary:
Interim Regional Associate Dean for Academic Affairs to provide leadership for curriculum and instructional development; provide leadership to regional campus chairs and regional campus faculty if so assigned; work collaboratively with department chairs, faculty and staff; assist the Vice President and Regionals Dean in conducting annual evaluations, planning, budgeting, and management of campus programs, services, facilities, and resources primarily related to academic affairs; lead multiple initiatives related to increasing access, fostering completion and creating stronger community and career engagement; serve as point of contact and resource for faculty/students; represent campus to regional consortia and other academic organizations; provide leadership in the College of Liberal Arts and Applied Science; work cooperatively with the Associate and Assistant Deans; act on behalf of the Vice President and Regionals Dean as needed and handle other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Earned tenure at Miami University, employed at the Regional Campuses, and currently holding the rank of Associate or Full Professor at Miami University; understanding and commitment to diversity and open access mission in public higher education; commitment to teaching/learning with technology; commitment to supporting and furthering CLAAS faculty and staff; demonstrated collegiality and commitment to the Regional Campuses.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Consideration may be given to candidates with successful academic administrative experience; experience with innovative programs supporting faculty and staff development; ability to work collaboratively; excellent communications skills.
