Summary of job contents
 The Project Engineer manages teams throughout the entire span of a project which is technical or involves engineering. They ensure the design, consistency and functionality of a project throughout its entire process. They prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor all assigned projects and communicate with the head of the Plant Project Office and other members of the project team to provide any necessary assistance or technical support. They review the engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions throughout the duration of the project. They prepare schedules, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects. They monitor compliance to applicable quality codes and practices as well as quality assurance and quality control policies. They strive to prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the project to ensure it adheres to its budget and timeline.
 
Key accountabilities

  •   Coordinate and manage engineering and technical development projects 
  • plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements
  • Completes technical studies and prepares cost estimates.
  • Lead product feasibility study for all potential projects for local production
  • Responsibility for coordinating assembly release / production release of new products for local production.
  • Initiation and supporting of best practices and process optimization measures related to the introduction of new products in the Operation Unit in cooperation with the QCD Plant Functions and the HQ Function
  • Implementation and support of process optimization as a Key User
  • Identifies weaknesses/gaps in the process flow and initiates measures for process definition and sustainable implementation aligned with the OPEX standards (operational Execellence principles)
  • Identifies the needs for action of Production Engineering topics due to new project requirements (jobs/equipment) in coordination with the Production Engineer
  • Design of the project specific production concept within the framework of the specified standards by Production Engineering
  • Assigning/Initiating the commissioning and development of the operating equipment (in coordination with the Production Engineer)
  • Coordinate quality and test planning (in coordination with the Quality Planner)
  • Regular meeting with NPI HQ about new and ongoing projects
  • Handover of sales released products to Delivery Function
  • Ensures that the knowledge is documented
  • Collaborate with production value stream Engineers and HQ colleagues regarding solutions for local production.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with shop floor employees
  • Driving project teams to achieve deliverabiles  
 
 Knowledge and Experience
  • 1+ years of relevant business experience
  • Technical understanding of Manufacturing menthods and procedures
  • Problem solving ability
  • Proficient (English) communication skills
  • Strong Interdisciplinary Communication Skills
  • MS Office
  • Experience with SAP a plus
