Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant I
The Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant I will be responsible for performing pre-analytic processing of specimens; collecting specimens; accessions, labeling and distributing specimens; and performing clerical and miscellaneous duties. The Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant will be placed on a weekend, holiday, and call rotation.

This position will also be responsible for:
- Obtaining blood specimens by venipuncture or skin punctures
- Following proper patient identification protocols and established blood collection protocols.
- Performing pre-analytical processing
- Processing a volume of specimens appropriate for the assigned work area.
Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of formal phlebotomy training program or equivalent is preferred.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Phlebotomy experience preferred. Ability to read and comprehend written information required; ability to effectively and efficiently perform a variety of job duties in a stressful, fast paced environment is required; Phlebotomy skills preferred; keyboarding skills preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred.
This position is located at The Christ Hospital, 2139 Auburn Avenue and will be scheduled as needed per week.
