Job Title: Assistant Director of Business Services
Salary/Grade:  Salary
Hours Per Week: full-time

Job Summary:
Serves as the Assistant Director of Business Services, responsible for multiple items within the Business Office. Reports to the Asst AD of Business Operations & Services.
This position specifically supports the mission of the University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics by assisting in institutional compliance with NCAA and Conference rules and regulations.

Duties/Physical Demands:

Human Resource duties:

  • Manages student employment process for ICA.
  • Works with new employees and departing employees and the necessary steps.
  • Manages the temporary employment process for ICA.
  • Other employee needs such as the vehicle process, phone lines, facility key distribution, & apparel taxation.
  • Other personnel items as assigned.


Student-athlete duties:

  • Red Card meal program.
  • Winter & J-term meal/housing planning.
  • Scholarship awarding process.
  • Other assistance for student-athletes as-necessary.


Other Business duties:

  • Organizes contracts for ICA, including game guarantees and other departmental needs.
  • Maintains the Public Records website.
  • Works directly with Sport & Facility Services on sports camps (primarily in spring/summer) and facility rentals.
  • NCAA audit assistance as-needed.
  • Budgetary duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1 year experience within business operations or human resources.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience within Athletics.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Requires excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.
