Production Operation Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage production team as they focus on continued improvement initiatives .
• Lead front line supervision as they oversee line operations as well as unionized crew workforce
• Instill a culture of fairness, firmness, and consistency on SOPs, work rules, safety protocol, and attendance
• Work alongside General manager and Engineers to identify root cause of production deficiencies related to equipment and behavioral gaps
• Deliver key performance indicators.
• Instill a culture of Food and Human Safety throughout production workforce
• Strong focus on the development and implementation of continuous productivity improvements including building on existing KPIs with an emphasis on Lean manufacturing for production processes.
• Helps create an environment of accountability that promotes highly engaged, high-performance work teams in a dynamic culture.

Requirements:

• Must have 5-10 years of Food Manufacturing Management experience
• Ability to navigate challenges in a food manufacturing setting
• Must be a subject matter expert in the food manufacturing industry, commercial baking preferred
• Proven track record of operations excellence and utilization of lean manufacturing techniques.
• Ability to develop, coach and manage high performance leaders.
• Must be a problem solver, decisive and result-oriented leader with a high sense of urgency.
• Six Sigma Green Belt Preferred
• Previous experience leading Lean Manufacturing required
• Bachelor's degree in Business preferred
