Ensures the product and process quality within the operational unit.

 Key accountabilities

  • Defining and specifying activities, processes, and standards to fulfil the quality requirements for a manufactured material, component, or product.
  • Monitoring Quality KPIs of operational unit and/or own value stream
  • Establish quality standards/guidelines related to products and contribute to their further development
  • Monitoring and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards
  • Reporting and trouble shooting in case of manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods.
  • Responsibility for more than one value stream withing the operation unit.
  • Improving of quality standards and/or concepts within the operational unit.
  • Communicate with the departments in the company about performance and quality standards and monitor if they are met.
  • Train employees in quality measures to ensure targets are met.
  • Communicate with external suppliers to ensure that their products meet the organizations quality standards.

 A Specialist (Level 2) requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require professional or technical education.

  • Responsibilities may include:

Working under limited supervision for non-routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations.

  • Training, delegating, and reviewing the work of lower level employees.
  • Problems are typically difficult and non- routine but partly complex.

 Knowledge and Experience

  • Engineer/Bachelor/Master, technician, higher technical or quality education/or equivalent experience.
  • Problem Solving (Corrective a preventive action, 8D, 5 Why, A3 Report, Ishikawa, …)
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher preferred
  • Technical knowledge in terms of Process Management, Quality management systems, certifications (ISO9001, optional: IATF16949, VDA6.3) and methods (Control Plan, Inspection Plan, PDCA, SPC, FMEA …), Project Management and Basics in Economics
  • Knowledge & evaluation of product specific requirements based on (customer) specification preferred
  • Knowledge of production process and production core technologies preferred
  • Experience as an internal auditor preferred
  • Basic training and moderation skills
  • IT skills proficiency (SAP, Office, etc.)
  • CAQ, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) experience preferred
