Community Investment Coordinator

Caracole’s Community Investment Coordinator (CIC) is responsible for maintaining and expanding Caracole’s community partnerships with local and national agencies/nonprofits, employee resource groups, volunteers and corporations. The CIC oversees planning and execution of Caracole fundraising special events/activities while working with volunteer planning committees. The CIC is also responsible for managing Caracole’s volunteer program, including recruitment, training and scheduling of individual and group volunteers that support the mission of the agency and assists with other Development projects as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as an ambassador for Caracole in relations with volunteers and organizations within the community
  • Establish and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with other community providers
  • Coordinate fundraising events
  • Assure that the mission of Caracole is evident in planning & operation of all activities
  • Coordinate in-kind donations
  • Recruit, train and supervise volunteers
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure that volunteer activities meet programmatic needs
  • Facilitate and develop on-going training, support and educational programs for volunteers
  • Assure maintenance of all records and statistics needed for management and grant requirement
  • Ensure completion and timely submission of required reports
  • Identify and pursue educational opportunities to promote professional growth
  • Assist with other development activities
  • Maintain confidentiality

Preferred Candidate Profile

The preferred candidate is a resourceful, collaborative individual who values public service, authentic community engagement, and has a respect for, or a connection to, the HIV+ and at-risk communities. The preferred candidate also values lifelong learning and may not possess all of the qualifications listed in this announcement but is adaptive and willing to learn.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum 2 years non-profit experience. Strong technical writing skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Database (DonorPerfect) and online giving platform (QGiv) proficiency a plus. Able to work independently, perform multiple tasks with thorough attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills. Must have transportation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Job includes in-office and remote work. Event work requires some weekends and evening work. The employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, stand, walk; use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, use a computer, and telephone. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Good written and spoken English. Good visual and hearing acuity required; good verbal communication skills required. The employee is frequently required to move throughout the building and other sites as needed throughout the day; must be able to drive to other sites, meetings and events.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

This position is full time, salaried: $50-55K/year  Benefits include Medical, Dental, Life and Disability Insurance, 401K.
