Responsibilities for bilingual purchasing agent

  • Work closely with our Latin America Sales team responsible for pricing and purchasing product
  • Assist and eventually manage sourcing and purchasing of parts and equipment as required
  • Source and purchase supply for day-to-day sales demand
  • Review customer requirements, solicit pricing and review costs
  • Obtain quotes from suppliers and perform a comparative analysis
  • Prepare pricing for quotes based on cost and availability of product
  • Negotiate price, warranty, and terms with new and existing suppliers
  • Manage purchase transaction processes from start to finish ensuring delivery times, accuracy, and
  • quality
  • Build, develop, and maintain supplier vendor relationships
  • Research and evaluate suppliers based on product price, quality, support, availability, and reliability
  • Regularly correspond with a wide variety of domestic and international suppliers
  • Manage the open order report and keep the information updated and accurate
  • Collaborate with Account Executive and the operations team
  • Effectively interact with other departments to ensure purchase orders and associated information
  • seamlessly moves throughout the company
  • Work closely with the vendor and warehouse teams in scheduling inbound freight and expediting critical
  • orders
  • Communicate directly with suppliers, while maintaining respectful linkage to sales/purchasing and the
  • entire Unicom team
  • Aid sales team in coordinating outreach to customers as needed
  • Ensure reports and databases are up to date and accurate
  • Continuously develop a technical knowledge and understanding of the wireless telecom equipment

Key Characteristics of the Ideal Candidate
  • Bi-lingual proficiency in Spanish is required
  • Team player is essential

  • Competent to plan and manage multiple projects

  • Confidence to follow and give written and verbal instruction

  • Computer skills – Word, Excel, Office; experience with any common CRM system
  • Ability to manage dynamic and sometimes inconsistent daily routine
Some experience or education in purchasing and sourcing is preferred
