THE WOMEN’S FUND
The Women's Fund of Greater Cincinnati Foundation leads our community in ensuring the economic self-sufficiency of women in our region. Through leadership, research, and policy advocacy, the Women’s Fund is designing a community where all women can participate, prosper and reach their full potential.
 
RELATIONSHIPS:
This position will report to the Executive Director of the Women’s Fund and will work closely with the Women’s Fund Development, Communications Director and Advocacy Directors.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
There are two key areas of responsibility in this position:
 
Research Direction:
The Applied Research Director leads the research function for our organization. From curating topics to soliciting research proposals and project managing the research process to writing primary research reports and guiding literature reviews from our research committee, this function is responsible for making sure the Women’s Fund research function is credible, relevant, actionable and at the forefront of women’s economic self-sufficiency issues in our community.
 
The Director will also collect, catalogue and distill information about women’s economic self-sufficiency from multiple sources to help us present the strongest case for these issues in various settings (presentations, community initiatives, etc.). They will manage a database of related articles and publications and train and promote its usage among our non-profit partners.
 
Product Management:
The Women’s Fund developed the Employer Toolkit as a research product. The Research Director will manage all aspects of the toolkit and execute a plan to scale the toolkit to new audiences.  
 
For the Employer Toolkit:

  • Responding to employer questions about the toolkit
  • Maintaining the toolkit website
  • Crafting and deploying a drip campaign to stay in touch with employers and collect data about turnover, engagement, etc. to further improve the product
  • Synthesizing and providing analysis of trends, opportunities for innovation and communicating key results about the product to our constituents
  • Manage and expand the social enterprise for the product
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Passion for the issue of women’s economic self-sufficiency and gender equity
  • Minimum education and experience:  Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred and at least four years of nonprofit, government or research experience. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to work as a great teammate with diverse groups of people. 
  • Strong analytic, problem-solving and planning skills. 
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills, especially planning, coordination and follow-up. Attention to detail and accuracy is a requirement.
  • Excellent time and task management skills as evidenced by a proven ability to efficiently and effectively handle multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Windows and MS Office computer environment and database management.
  • Ability to make judgments and complete assignments independently, professionally, efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Desired personal traits: customer-service oriented, team player, flexible, mature, organized, efficient, and enjoys a positive culture filled with talented people who care about our community.
 
  • Sense of humor, creativity and an appreciation of the role of philanthropy in building community.
 
 
This position is full-time, with attractive benefits and is located at Greater Cincinnati Foundation. Some evening and weekend hours are required.
