To assist the Head Volleyball coach in the administration and operation of the Volleyball Program consistent with the policies of Miami University, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and other appropriate governing bodies, i.e., Mid-American Conference.
- Participation in the Administration of the Volleyball Program:
- Instruct and train individual and team skills in all areas of training and practices within the Miami system as designated by the head coach.
- Scout opponents, prepare strategies for matches along with detailed scouting reports. Organize student managers and staff to help with the timely scouting process while utilizing the Volleymetric system.
- Master and efficiently utilize available software as related to recruiting and compliance, specifically, University Athlete and ARMS.
- Oversee program’s video and scoresheet video uploading requirements by following Conference rules and deadlines. Supervise student managers, as they assist with these and other tasks.
- Assist in the development of practice plans with the head coach, conducting on-court skills and strategies training.
- Gain a working knowledge to manage the NCAA CARA Logs for monthly, weekly and daily student-athlete activity hours, as well as official visits.
- Assist in the recruitment and assessment of male student-athletes on the Miami men’s club team to participate in fall and spring practice sessions. Assist the head coach in the recruitment of graduate students to Miami, and student managers who desire to be involved with daily volleyball operations.
- Assist with work related to camp preparations and administration, equipment services, communications, social media, community service and other important areas as requested by the head coach.
- Assist the head coach in conducting the Volleyball Program in accordance with all NCAA rules, including attendance at compliance meetings, appropriate record keeping for competitions, practice sessions and recruiting, scheduling, and assisting in the education of student-athletes on the NCAA rules.
- Participate in department activities, including service on committees, community service and attendance at all scheduled meetings.
- Participate in other duties assigned by the athletic administration and head coach.

- Experience at the college level
- Master Degree
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of NCAA rules, solid writing and interpersonal skills, elevated knowledge of the technical and tactical aspects of the game of volleyball
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and promote an inclusive work environment.
