About Us

In addition to academics, there are many other important areas that contribute to the experience of Cincinnati Public Schools, such as serving students a nutritious lunch and getting students to and from school.

In this section, you can learn about such things as Cincinnati Public Schools' Food Services and Transportation departments and CPS' procedure for closing schools during bad weather.

We are a district with a long, proud history stretching back more than 175 years to when Cincinnati was first settled. In this section, you can read about our history and learn the meaning behind our current star-and-hands logo.

Our mission, our vision, and our core values and beliefs as a school district, available under the Strategic Plan link, are serving as the framework for developing the district's new strategic plan.

CPS joins school districts around Ohio that offer high-school diplomas to veterans of World War II and the Korean War who left school to serve their country before earning a diploma. Details are available here on how to apply for one of these special veterans' diplomas.

As a large district, CPS attracts many researchers interested in tapping into information about our students and how our district performs. To handle the large number of requests, researchers are asked to apply online via the application form included in this section.
