About Us

With a 130-year legacy, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Pops is considered one of America’s finest and most versatile ensembles. In 1966, the CSO was the first American orchestra to make a world tour sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, and continues to tour domestically and internationally. The CSO also serves as the official orchestra for the Cincinnati May Festival, Cincinnati Opera, and Cincinnati Ballet.

The Orchestra (90 musicians) and its 101 administrative professionals serve diverse audiences through traditional and non-traditional programming all year. In service of its mission to seek and share inspiration and its vision to be the most relevant orchestra in America, the organization offers classical and Pops weekend performances, free live-streamed concerts, community-centered outdoor performances, and a variety of music education and learning programs designed to serve students of all ages and experience levels.
