Making a Difference Through Mentoring and College Readiness
CYC makes a significant difference in the lives of young people in grades 3 through 12 by providing mentoring and college readiness services. We serve as a catalyst, bringing together over 1,700 volunteers and 100 local businesses and organizations to help young people graduate from high school and successfully make the leap forward into postsecondary education or rewarding employment.
CYC works on-site in Cincinnati Public Schools to provide mentoring and tutoring opportunities that match up an adult volunteer with one student in grades 3 through 12. Our mentoring programs include one-to-one mentoring, group mentoring, academic tutoring, and more.
CYC's College Access Program is designed to get young people thinking about college as early as middle school and to support them all the way through the twelfth grade.
Discover the Rewards of Mentoring or Tutoring
You'd be surprised by the difference just a little of your time can make when you volunteer to spend it with a child. Even everyday things, which may seem like no big deal to you, can make a world of difference from the student's perspective.
Whatever your skills, talents, or interests, CYC has a variety of rewarding ways for you to get involved. Our many volunteers come from all walks of life. The only requirement is your desire to help a student reach his or her goals.
