Price Hill, Cincinnati - MYCincinnati (Music for Youth in Cincinnati) is holding its annual giving campaign from February 1st - February 26th. Donations will directly support MYCincinnati's free, daily programming for its 115 Price Hill students, including the cost of musical instruments, teaching artists, youth leadership development programs, collaborations with professional artists, and more. Donations to MYCincinnati can be made at, or by texting "MYC2021" to 44-321.

"During the COVID-19 crisis, MYCincinnati continues to be people-centered, connected, and full of music. Music is a healing, stabilizing, and joyful force that connects us, even as we practice social distancing." (Samantha Lane, Development Director)

In an effort to provide tools our students need to thrive in a virtual environment, we set out to collect device donations to give to our students and families. In January we distributed 17 devices that are now being utilized to facilitate and enhance their online learning. Your gift helps us ensure that our programming remains accessible and equitable to all families in our community.

MYCincinnati is a free, daily youth orchestra program for children in Price Hill. Founded in 2011 on the idea that personal transformation can be achieved by striving toward musical excellence, students enrolled in MYCincinnati have the opportunity to study an orchestral instrument and play in an ensemble. There are currently 115 students enrolled in MYCincinnati's daily programming, each engaged for at least 2 hours every day for a combined 10-15 hours per week. MYCincinnati's mission is to use ensemble-based music as a tool for youth development and community engagement by providing children with access to free, intense, high-quality music education. MYCincinnati is based on the El Sistema model, the Venezuelan music education program that has inspired nearly 300 programs globally. Learn more at

MYCincinnati's young musicians have performed with renowned artists from diverse disciplines, including composer Shara Nova, cellist Tomeka Reid, the Cincinnati Symphony & Opera, and experimental rock band Deerhoof, among others.

MYCincinnati is a program of Price Hill Will, a non-profit comprehensive community development organization serving the East, West, and Lower Price Hill neighborhoods. Price Hill Will uses intensive arts engagement as a vehicle for creative youth development, inclusive citizenship practice, and equitable neighborhood development.
