Carolina Bejarano, PhD: Leader in Family Health at Cincinnati Children’s

In recognition of her commitment, dedication, and contribution, and her impact on the physical and psychosocial health of youth and families, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Cincinnati, USA, proudly features Carolina Bejarano, PhD, in its “Kudos Corner”. 

The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Cincinnati, USA, celebrates Dr. Bejarano, a researcher, licensed clinical psychologist, and faculty member at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati, as well as her selection as a member of the YWCA Rising Star Equity Leadership Program. We are also proud of her dedication, as Dr. Bejarano is a board member for the local non-profit organization Apoyo Latino.

Dr. Carolina Bejarano is an Assistant Professor and clinical child psychologist in the Division of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati Department of Pediatrics. Her research program centers on eating behaviors and their impact on the physical and psychosocial health of youth and families. She has a particular interest in addressing food access as a crucial component of health equity and conducting community-engaged research with Hispanic/Latino adolescents and Spanish-speaking families. Her work and partnerships have been recognized through a CCTST Academic-Community Research Partnership Award and a Place Outcomes Young Investigator Research Award at Cincinnati Children’s. Dr. Berjarano is from a Colombian-American family and grew up in Miami, Florida. 

Dr. Bejarano’s leadership in research is truly commendable!
