HAMILTON COUNTY TOP DOG 4TH GRADE ESSAY CONTEST
Hamilton County, Ohio – State law requires all dogs to be licensed through the County Auditor’s Office, but who says it can’t be fun? In an effort to promote dog licensing, The Hamilton County Auditor’s Office has announced the Top Dog Essay Contest for students in the 4th grade. The challenge is to write a short, 1-3 paragraph essay answering one of the following prompts:
My Dog, the Top Dog: Imagine your dog just won "Top Dog in the County"! What makes your dog so special and deserving of this award?
A Day in the Life of a Top Dog: Write a story about a day in your chosen dog's life, from their perspective!
If My Dog Could Talk: If your dog could tell everyone in the county one thing about being a "Top Dog," what would it be?
Prizes for the best Top Dog Essays include a permanent, limited-edition gold-toned Top Dog License, recognition on the County Auditor’s website and on social media accounts, and bragging rights that your dog is the Top Dog in the County.
If your 4th grade class or 4th grade student is interested in entering the contest, please contact the Auditor’s Office at Top.Dog@auditor.hamilton-co.org. Submissions will be accepted from September 1st through October 1st.
